What we collect
WiFiy runs entirely on your phone. Scan results, speed-test history, device labels and saved signal spots are stored locally and are never sent to us. We do not have accounts, so we hold no name, email or password for you.
Speed tests
A speed test sends and receives data from a test server you choose or that we pick by distance. The server sees your public IP address for the duration of the test, as any website would. We do not log it.
Location permission
Android and iOS require location permission for an app to read the WiFi network name and list nearby networks. We request it for that reason only. WiFiy never reads GPS coordinates and never stores a location.
Advertising
The free version shows one ad per screen through Google AdMob, which may use a device advertising identifier under its own policy. Pro removes ads and the SDK is not initialised.
Purchases
Pro is billed by Google Play or the App Store. We receive a purchase token to unlock features and nothing else about your payment method.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app deletes everything. CSV exports you made are files you own. Questions: support@wifiy.app.
